Can Supreme lintels be used in both internal and external walls?

Yes. They’re suitable for internal partitions as well as external walls, provided the correct lintel type and load capacity is used for the wall construction.

Are Supreme lintels marked to show the correct orientation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. High-spec and fire-rated Supreme concrete lintels are marked with a “TOP” label, which must remain uppermost during installation. If the mark is not visible, place the lintel so that the reinforcement strands are at the bottom, away from the load direction.

Can Supreme lintels be cut to non-standard lengths?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most Supreme lintels are supplied in standard lengths but can be cut to size if needed, with some exceptions. Extreme fire-rated models may not be available for on-site cutting.
