Scrim tape

Scrim tape is a commonly used option for taping and jointing plasterboard. Made from fibreglass mesh, it’s self-adhesive and easy to apply, making it a modern staple of dry lining. The self-adhesive backing means there’s no need for bedding it in joint compound before use. Simply apply it to the seams and skim over with plaster or filler.

Whether you're using standard plaster scrim tape or extra-wide rolls for larger gaps, getting the right product at the best price makes all the difference. At Buildbuddy, we help you compare trade prices for scrim tape so you can get the best deal for your project.

Scrim tape FAQs
