Threaded rods

Threaded rods are used across structural and fixing applications, including ceiling suspension, bracing, and joining elements in timber, steel, or concrete. They allow nuts to be fitted at either end, creating secure tension or compression along their full length. Available in standard sizes like M8, M10, and M12, these rods are used in everything from light-duty supports to heavy structural fixings. Stainless steel options are also available for extra durability in wet or exposed situations.

Unlike bolts, which are limited by their head and fixed length, a threaded rod provides more flexibility for on-site adjustments and extended reach. Builders often use threaded bar rods where custom lengths are required, cutting them to suit. Rods may be fully threaded or partially threaded depending on the job. A rod with thread throughout is useful for anchoring or joinery work, while partial threads support specific tension points.
