Code 5 grade flashing, nominally ~2.24 mm thick, is a medium-to-heavy duty option. It’s suitable for areas of roofing that are more exposed to severe weather, as well as box gutters, taper gutters or parapets. You may also need a thick gauge like this if you’re working on a historical building. As with all grades of lead flashing, this code 5 roll is highly workable and can be shaped around complex roof details, corners and abutments.
