They act as moisture barriers to prevent ground water and water vapour from rising into buildings, protecting slabs and internal spaces from dampness. This membrane has a thickness of 300 micrometres. The heavy-duty polythene helps to resists punctures and tearing during installation and is designed to perform well in both high and low temperatures without becoming brittle.
