The 12 mm HardieBacker 500 Tile Backing Board (800 mm x 1200 mm) is a high-performance fibre cement backerboard engineered to provide a stable, moisture-resistant substrate for tiling floors and walls in wet and dry areas. This cement-based board combines Portland cement and reinforcing materials to deliver excellent dimensional stability and strength, resisting rot, swelling or warping when exposed to moisture. It is ideal as an alternative to plasterboard or plywood in bathrooms, kitchens, wet rooms and other tiled environments, and offers good adhesion for ceramic, porcelain and stone tiles when used with appropriate fixings and adhesives. The board is easy to cut, install and finish, supporting reliable, long-lasting tiling installations.
