What’s the difference between ready mix cement and ready mix concrete?

Ready mix cement only contains the cement part of concrete - typically a cement powder and possibly some additives. You’ll still need to add aggregates (like sand or gravel), plus water on site to make it into concrete.

Ready mixed concrete products (also known as premixed or bagged concrete) include everything in one bag: cement, sand, and aggregates. You only need to add water to use it immediately.

However, in construction, even among professionals, the terms ‘ready-mixed cement’ and ‘ready-mix concrete’ are frequently used interchangeably to describe premixed, just-add-water concrete products.
