Gyproc FireLine Plasterboard is a type of fire-resistant gypsum wallboard made by British Gypsum. It’s designed to provide enhanced passive fire protection in internal drylining systems including walls, partitions and ceilings. FireLine boards are classified as Type F to EN 520 standards. They have a gypsum core with glass fibre reinforcement to improve core strength and integrity at higher temperatures. Common uses for FireLine plasterboard are for internal fire-resisting partitions, including suspended ceilings or linings that form part of a fire-resisting ceiling system. They can also be used to form fire protective encasements for structural steelwork and are suitable for drylining existing walls to improve passive fire performance.
