Concrete Floor Beams are precast reinforced beams designed to form part of beam-and-block flooring systems (also called rib and block or lintel and block floors). They’re made in fixed lengths (in this case 3.6m) and are used to create suspended concrete floors. The beams act as the primary load-bearing element, carrying the floor loads back to the supporting walls or foundations. They’re often used with concrete infill blocks or void formers between adjacent beams. Precast concrete beams are rot-proof, durable and provide immediate load-bearing support as soon as they’re installed. They’re suitable for both ground and upper floor projects.
